Joya de la Montaña, San Rafael de Heredia
Casa Colibrí is located in one of the most beautiful residential areas in the mountains of San Rafael de Heredia, surrounded by nature, with the hills and forest of Braulio Carrillo only a few minutes walk behind the property. The house was built with an area of 437 m2, on a 2,911 m2 plot, with a wide selection of high end materials that complement its modern and tasteful design.
A tour encourages you to immerse your senses in nature, through its fine finishes and five types of precious woods. Beginning with a modern and majestic access through a wooden pivot door, wide enough to reveal the magnificent interior of the house, the “corteza amarilla” wooden steps that lead to the private area, and the curved wooden wall with changing lights, generating different sensations, depending on the environment mood.
The double-height dining room and living room reinforce the visual amplitude and the contact with the outside, from where you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace in both areas.
The kitchen is equipped with american brand appliances, which complete the accessibility and efficient design of a comfortable island with a quartz top and custom-made cedar wood furniture.
Inside, the light enters through the European windows of wide surface and quality, in PVC material, filling all the rooms with light.
The hall that leads to the rooms is magnificently spacious, with an 18 mm solid floor in “Friljolillo”, which gives great warmth, leads us to two spacious secondary bedrooms with their own custom made wooden closets, sharing a full bathroom with a delicate cabinet with a marble top. At the back, we find the master bedroom, with its walk-in closet and a complete bathroom with a Jacuzzi and marble basins set in quartz. Some laurel wood beams stand out on the ceiling, and some large, fully opening glass doors that invite you to enjoy the terrace outside the bedroom.
On the top floor, there is a space that works ideally as a study, gym, workshop, lounge, or studio and from where you can appreciate a beautiful views of Escazú, Santa Ana and Alajuela.
The house overlooks the beautiful garden, where, throughout the year, many hummingbirds visit, filling the view with colors. Extended towards it, a large terrace for a barbecue area or rest room.
The house also has an office that can be used as an additional bedroom; a guest bathroom, a laundry area, a warehouse, and covered parking for two cars, with space outside for more.
It is, without a doubt, a house designed to live with great comfort, tranquility, and privacy, seeking to enjoy a connection with nature and the cooler climate of the mountains.
