ABOUT : Lotus Del Mar

Place yourself firmly in the Costa Rican scenery with this traditional rancho style home. The main floor is a wide-open concept leading to the kitchen. Local hardwoods were used in the framing and are left purposely exposed to showcase the beauty of this natural build. The focal point of the house is a fun spiral staircase that brings you up to a catwalk above leading to the bedrooms. From here any child or kid at heart will love that 'tree house' feeling. A private balcony from the bedroom puts you in the canopy directly in view of the jungle with air plants, orchids, monkeys and birds.

The land is 1195 sqm (.3 acres) with beautiful well-established gardens. Morning coffee is enjoyed on the back terrace with your private pond full of lily pads and lotus flowers. Your weekly fresh flower table centerpiece is simply from your garden.

Lotus Del Mar is located in a semi-private community established long ago named "Haciendas Del Mar". The community enjoys a shared dead end road, so no through traffic. A main entrance to the development can house a guard booth in the future if the neighbors want, but most agree this area is off the grid secret, quiet, and safe. Electric is of course on the road, as well as municipal water, and fiberoptic wifi is available.

San Juanillo is located 15-20 minutes North of Nosara in an area of abundant nature and beauty. This is where us locals escape to on the weekends to catch our breath and enjoy less crowded surroundings. The beach 5 minutes away from the house is considered one of the best in Costa Rica, with beautiful turquoise water, sheltered coves, and ideal swimming conditions. The village of San Juanillo has restaurants and markets for you to enjoy, and of course the fish is fresh, bought straight from the daily boats. We love San Juanillo for its remote feel, yet in reality you are very close to large amenities with Santa Cruz and Tamarindo only an hour to an hour and a half North respectively.
